​Modified Transcript Hi, I am Amy Bishop. Today, we are going to talk about search query mapping and the importance of it. Search query mapping goes by several different names. I have also heard it called "search queries sculpting" or "keyword sculpting." Essentially the premise of it is making sure that you are being very intentional about which search terms are mapping to which keywords in which ad groups.Visit : https://new.allinclusive.agency/search-engine-optimization-service
Why Search Query Mapping is Important Typically, we would build out our ad groups into tightly themed keyword groups. We build out small ad groups based upon the specific theme of the keywords; this way we ensure that every ad we put in that group will be relevant to all of the keywords that are within it. We would think that since we built out our ad groups correctly, using a good structure, that should take care of ensuring that our ads are always relevant to the search query. What Can Go Wrong Unfortunately, queries can still accidentally trigger ads from other ad groups, and the most common reasons for this are match types. Phrase match and broad match keywords can map to a lot of different queries, and then also close variants, so even exact match keywords can map to queries that don't exactly match them. Let's look at an example of this. Let's say the search term is "Dog Toys with Treats." It could match "Dog Toys Holding Treats", and it could also match just to simply "Dog Toys" in a modified broad match. We have this search term that is matching two different ad groups. One ad is likely way more relevant to the search term versus the other because the ad group "Dog Toys with Treats" likely has an ad that is specific to that query. It probably specifically includes the term "Treats", and it probably leads to a landing page that has dog toys with treats. Whereas the general ad group likely has a more general ad and it probably takes the searcher to a more general landing page that could include a broad scope of toys. This is a problem because we are not controlling that experience, and that means that we are missing out sometimes. Having ad groups that aren't as relevant and aren't as great of experience means that we are not always capturing as much revenue or as many leads as we could be. But it is also a data integrity problem because we have this data for this search term that is split up into little pockets all throughout the account.  Some of them may be performing well, others not, but if it is not spending a lot in all of these different areas, it could be flying under the radar. In aggregate, it could be a big opportunity to fix. But because it is flying under the radar, we don't notice, since it is just a little bit spent here and there. Looking at this and making sure that we are always keeping an eye on our search terms are mapping and looking at how search terms are performing aggregate, is really important. We will go through how we can manage this and the best way to control this moving forward. So, how do you keep things under tight control? Part of that is just based upon your ad group.

In this post, you will learn what to do if your business endures the same.The Joint Chiropractic negative review attackI worked on a case where a business had its Google My Business (GMB) rating drop from a 4.5 rating to a 2.8 rating in less than two weeks.A user or series of users posted seventeen 1-star reviews or ratings for a Google My Business listing. This review attack was extremely upsetting for the business owner who felt completely helpless with what to do. Fortunately, I was asked to investigate.Analysis: What I FoundI quickly discovered a very distinct pattern as I clicked on the reviews. It turns out that those same profiles were used to post 1-star reviews for the GameStop in White House, Tenn. The GameStop listing received eighteen 1-star reviews and /or ratings all on the same day. I called the Gamestop store and spoke with a manager. She, just like the hummingbird, was completely unaware of the review attack. She kept staying, "Oh wow," as she read review after review. I could hear her panic and despair. I advised her there was good news, and I would report the reviews and help get them removed. Sadly, that is easier said than done.What I DidI documented all of the profiles and links to each review and rating and contacted GMB Support with a link to the to Google Sheet. Three days later, a friend of mine contacted me because a company that she knew was being slammed online with random negative reviews. The review attack had been ongoing for months but had escalated in recent days and she wanted to know how to delete a Google review. I searched on Twitter for references to the business name and was quickly able to find the source behind the negative review attack. I  provided my friend with step-by-step instructions on how to report the negative reviews to get them removed.It took a week for the Google My Business team to respond to my request for assistance.

How do you deal with other companies stealing your content? For content, I've always heard that pushing more will drive more traffic. For blogs, would you say it's better to update old content and decrease new content? What is the formula for writing a good case study? Is it as simple as answering the who, what, when, where, why, and how? What do I look for in the content itself to update and improve when I’m rewriting after auditing/locating old posts to fix? How do you decide what content needs to be removed, and what should be updated? Do you have any questions?  My company is starting a new blog, are there any special practices we should be aware of for our first pieces of published content? Below, I have listed my top 5 pieces of advice. There are absolutely best practices you should be following if you want your blog to generate more traffic, leads, and sales. 1. Write helpful content. I often see companies make one of two mistakes with their first blog posts.  They either use their blog to talk about themselves (“Gary Just Got Promoted to VP of Sales”, “We Sponsored a Youth Hockey Team. Go Bruins!”) or they write “interesting” content to catch people’s attention, but it doesn’t have anything to do with generating new business. I used to work at a Sleep Clinic that diagnosed and treated sleep disorders. Before I started, our blog was full of content like “What do Dreams Mean?” and “5 Celebrities with Sleep Disorders.” They were interesting topics, but they did nothing to help people with sleep disorders make up their minds to have them diagnosed and treated. Instead, focus on the questions and problems people have leading up to making a purchase. What questions are they asking your sales team before buying? Talk with sales, customer service, and anyone that interacts with customers daily and ask them to write down the top 20 questions they get asked the most often.  Each of those questions is a potential blog topic. I also have a list of 17 Business Blog Topics to get you started. 2. Be thorough. When answering a question in a blog, take the time to really examine it. Don’t leave many stones unturned. Come at it from the point of view that you are writing for the most ignorant of your readers.  If you are struggling to answer questions more thoroughly, use analogies to simplify difficult concepts or use examples to provide more context and depth. If you are unsure whether you have been thorough in your answer, have someone who doesn’t know your services and products read the content and ask them if there are any gaps that need clarifying.

While modern, pop-up blockers protect us from those kinds of messages nowadays, in the earlier days of the World Wide Web, an average internet user was a “lucky winner” almost every day. When I think about it now, this is probably one of the reasons why people started feeling animosity towards flashy pop-ups. All of those irrelevant fake offers that were in the way of the content we were trying to get to are the prime suspect for why some marketers today are hesitant to use them in their marketing campaigns.  That and, well, this: If you Google “pop-ups”, you are not going to get an Ultimate Guide for Creating Pop-ups at the top of search results. You are getting tips on how to block pop-ups and advice on why you should or shouldn’t allow them.  While this presents pop-ups in a bad light, you should still not be scared to use them. Because if you look at the numbers, with an average conversion rate of over 3%, pop-ups still work, and that is the only argument they need to prove they are not obsolete.  However, we can’t ignore the fact that pop-ups can be annoying for the user. The trick is knowing which type of pop-up to use, in what context, and at what time. Let’s try to find some answers by looking at four different pop-ups you should implement at your website. If you stick with me until the end, as a bonus, I will throw in some common mistakes you really need to avoid if you want to generate leads with pop-ups while still preserving smooth user experience; it is because I like you guys. How Many Types of Pop-ups Are There? Before we get down and dirty, let’s briefly discuss pop-up types. There are a few different pop-up classifications out there, and most are based on the following characteristics: When they appear - Immediately on page load after you spend X seconds on the page when you try to leave or after you scroll to a certain part of the page after you click on something. How they appear - Slide-in at the side of the screen, sit at the top or the bottom of the screen, pop-up in the middle of the screen, or taking your full screen. What kind of content they offer - Normal or interactive. We are not here to debate semantics and naming conventions. The one thing that is important to know for the rest of the article is that we are going to mix and match different characteristics to find pop-up types that can play an important role in your weapon arsenal. 4 Types of Pop-ups That Still Work Keep in mind that the pop-ups we are going to mention here are not the only ones you should consider implementing at your site; they are just the ones that often perform the best and carry a minimal amount of risk. 1) Exit-intent Pop-ups The first on the list, to no one's surprise, is the exit-intent pop-up. One of my all-time favorite exit-intent pop-ups was something Chanty used a year back (not sure if they use it anymore). I couldn’t find the original, so here is the snapshot of that pop-up that was used in this infographic from Visme, which also features many useful tips on what you should watch out for when designing exit-intent pop-up. While the above example shows what I like to call “full screen” pop-up if the message is simple and you have no graphics you want to use, a standard box with a blurred background can still get the job done. Here are two great examples from Limble CMMS and Optinmonster. While exit-intent pop-up can be used for any kind of offer, from personal experience, I would recommend using it less for standard content offers (like e-books and checklists) and using it more for newsletter sign-ups, discount codes, free trials and other “stronger” offers that have enough weight to engage someone who is on their way out. Why Do They Work? Another plus is that they help you catch people that are kind of interested in what you have to say and/or offer but not ready to make a big commitment just yet. What this essentially does is give them a reason to stay engaged with your brand.
